Welcome to the Christmas City of Dortmund!

The Dortmund Christmas City is one of the largest and most beautiful Christmas markets in Germany. At around 250 stands with handicrafts, Christmas decorations, awesome toys and much more, there is almost everything that makes hearts beat faster in the Advent season. And what would a visit to Dortmund Christmas City be without the many drink specialties and mulled wine from the annual mug? With its annually changing motif, it is a coveted collector’s item. 

From a culinary point of view, the Dortmund Christmas City spoils visitors with hearty dishes such as Bratwurst and Westphalian grilled ham, as well as sweet treats such as roasted almonds, crêpes and other delicacies. The Christmas City offers booths and entertainment for the whole family.

The world's biggest Christmas tree

The world’s biggest Christmas tree can be found in Dortmund! It’s 45 meters tall and consists of 1300 single red spruce trees. It’s almost 48,000 lights shine every day from 3 pm till 11 pm.
